Cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Sites use them for everything from remembering a preference to tracking you across the web. We only do the former.

• Announcement banner preference (local storage). When you dismiss the banner at the top of the site, we store a single timestamp so it stays hidden for 24 hours. It contains no personal data and is not sent to any server.
• Strictly necessary technical cookies. Our hosting and CDN providers may set short-lived cookies needed to serve the site securely and reliably. These are not used for tracking.
• Editor login (staff only). Our content management area at /studio uses a login cookie for our team. Visitors never encounter it.

• No analytics cookies (no Google Analytics or similar) at the time of writing.
• No advertising or retargeting pixels.
• No social media tracking embeds. Links to our LinkedIn and Instagram open those sites directly.
• No third-party embeds on the contact page. The Calendly booking link opens Calendly in a new tab, where their cookie policy applies.

If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential cookies, we will update this page, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent before setting them.

You can clear local storage and cookies for butterfly.rs at any time through your browser's site data settings, and you can block cookies entirely in your browser preferences. The site works fine either way; the only effect is that the announcement banner may reappear.
